After Nano Brow Cosmetic Tattoo
Congratulations on your nano brow cosmetic tattoo!
Your brows will heal approximately 30% lighter than what you see freshly tattooed.
The healed result can also vary drastically dependent on your commitment to aftercare.
You should have your complimentary touch-up booked 6-8 weeks after your initial tattoo. This will allow us to lightly add back in any hairstrokes or sections that may have dropped out during the healing process. If you follow aftercare instructions diligently, this will be very minimal.
Avoid completely for 14 days:
Saunas, steam, hot showers, lotions, oils, makeup, sweating, sun exposure, fake tan, active skincare such as retinol, exfoliations, peels, acids, as well as Botox, and any laser treatments. Do not sleep face down.
The first 2 days:
Keep your eyebrows clean and dry. Do not touch them, and do not get them wet or moist. Only sleep on a freshly washed pillowcase. Treat the area like an open wound.
Days 2-4:
Your brows will look their darkest as they begin to lightly scab. You can gently wash them with water after 48 hours, however wash your hands thoroughly first. Gently wet them with your fingers and water, do not use a washcloth or anything that can catch the scabbing. Avoid rubbing whilst washing (think gentle splashing) and then pat dry with a fresh, clean, dry cloth.
Once completely dry, apply your supplied aftercare cream very sparingly using a clean cotton bud, lightly gliding it across the brows. A grain-of-rice sized amount is enough to cover both brows.
If there are no visible scabs and you are not experiencing dryness or itching only do this once per day. If you do have dryness or itching, you may apply the cream twice per day.
Continue to avoid Saunas, steam, hot showers, lotions, oils, makeup, sweating, sun exposure, fake tan, active skincare such as retinol, exfoliations, peels, acids, as well as Botox, and any laser treatments. Do not sleep face down.
Days 5-14:
Continue the aftercare as per days 2-4.
Scabbing should begin to slow down.
Your brows can begin to look ‘faded’ as the skin continues to heal. This is a normal part of the healing process.
Continue to avoid Saunas, steam, hot showers, lotions, oils, makeup, sweating, sun exposure, fake tan, active skincare such as retinol, exfoliations, peels, acids, as well as Botox, and any laser treatments. Do not sleep face down.
After 14 days:
Scabbing should have ceased and you can cease aftercare cream.
You can begin to wear makeup on the brows and return to normally sweaty exercise.
You should however continue to avoid any sun exposure and active skincare directly on the brows for an additional two weeks (wear large sunglasses and apply actives around but not on the brow).
As the skin begins to reach its final healing process, pigment should begin to return.
At 4 weeks:
Your brows will have reached their healed result. Yay!
If you haven’t already done so, book your complimentary touch up appointment.
